I originally posted on LinkedIn to try to find law students who might need help with legal writing.

(In the back of my mind, I confess, I was also hoping I’d find a job working for someone else.)

That was in September 2021.

Well, I did find law students. 🙂

(I found a whole lot of lawyers who needed help with writing, too.)

And this year, through my “3 Bullets” newsletter, I’ve been adding “LinkedIn writers” to my list of potential ICPs.

BUT somewhere along the way,

It became clear to me that I cared FAR more about community than I did about new ICPs.

🔷 Today, LinkedIn is a place to come where I know people and feel genuine, human connection.

LinkedIn has become my “employer,” and this space has become my “workplace,” as crazy as that might be.

So,
I may not have traditional co-workers.
I may not have a fancy office in the sky.
I may not get a weekly paycheck or 401K.

But LinkedIn has been the best place I’ve ever “worked.”

Here, there is community.

It has been beyond extraordinary to experience.

🙏🏻 I appreciate each one of you, and we are just getting started!

Dear 1L, Hi. I hope you’re hanging in ok. I’ve had students tell me they had some of their darkest days of law school when trying to get the brief done, and I know you’re in pretty deep.
