LinkedIn Connect
Today I aim to help lawyers & law students network on LinkedIn.
š¢ BONUS for law-related content creators & others who post:
ā> Drop a link to one of your recent posts. I will reciprocate by engaging with it, and I bet others will, too!
šµ LAW STUDENTS: I know that LinkedIn can seem scary sometimes. I still find that today. But Iāve also learned that the legal community is genuinely supportive here.
Lots of us have reached a point in life when we really want to give back to the next generation of lawyers. āļø And sometimes, the stars align just right, and a little magic can happen for everyone.
š If youāre only lurking in the shadows, though, we wonāt know you want to network. Youāll miss out on the real connection power of this platform, which happens in the comments and DMs.
So hereās my challenge:
Please introduce yourself below or engage with other commentsāwe want to meet you!!
Here are some ideas for what you might say:
š¹ I attend law school at ___, and/but Iād like to practice in ____ [city or state].
š¹ Iām not sure yet what kind of law I want to practice, but Iām eager to learn more about ____.
š¹ Anything at all about yourself that is not already in the tagline under your profile name.
Please donāt feel constrained by the above examples, either. Anything you say is appreciated!
š To get you started, check out these lawyers, law students*, and others who work in the legal space. I enjoy reading all their posts, and I think you will, too.
