Dear 2L, I didn’t want you to think I’d forgotten you, or that I ever could.

Dear 2L,

I don’t know how often I’ll write to you specifically this way, but I do know this:  You are my original gang.

▫️ I started posting last fall. You started law school.

▫️ I felt out of my league—an imposter.  You had your moments, too.

▫️ I tried to figure out this thing called LinkedIn. You did that about law school.

There were strides forward and slides back.

Successes

Failures.

Confusion.

Disillusion.

But most importantly: Accomplishment.

We survived the year, and we’re still kickin’.

And so, please tell me. How are you?

🔹 This time, pre-2L, can be another angst-fraught one. It’s okay to be a “not okay” right now.

🔹 Tell me what you need. What are your questions and concerns?

🔹 I’ll write to you for as long as you read and take value.

Finally, THANK YOU. You may not have realized it, but you are very special to me. I wouldn’t have made it through the year without you. The class of 2024. My OG.

Forever fondly,

💌 Amanda
