Three Blind Mice

Dear Legal Writer, The style of these three sentences should look familiar. It’s how you wrote in college:

▪️ “A triumvirate of murine rodents completely devoid of ophthalmic acuity were detected in a state of rapid locomotion in pursuit of an agriculturalist’s marital adjunct.”

▪️ “Said adjunct thereafter performed a caudectomy utilizing an acutely honed, bladed instrument generally used for the subdivision of edible tissue.”

▪️ “Would it be that prior in your senescence, you would have ascertained the vision of such a colossal confrontation?”

But this is how you’ll need to learn to write about the law:

“Three Blind Mice. See how they run . . .
They all ran after the farmer’s wife. . . .
She cut off their tale with a carving knife.
Have you ever seen such a fight in your life?”

🔷  TRANSLATION:  Write simply.

Hat tip: Stewart Milch — Thank you for this idea, and good luck in your trial!!!
