“I will never do Instagram.” “I will never do TikTok.” “I will never do X.” I’ve been saying those things for 4 years.

I’ve been saying those things for 4 years.

I’ve put up maximum resistance to anyone and everyone who’s tried to get me to venture outside the LinkedIn pool.

The truth is, I’ve been too scared.

And I’m still scared.

But:

1: I am 100% committed to improving the legal writing skills of our next generation of lawyers;

2: The students who stand to gain the most from my ‘Dear 1L’ book are those who start law school next fall, and the vast majority of them have not discovered LinkedIn yet; and

3/ I am 100% convinced that any student who reads my book will fare better, not only in law school, but also in their future careers as legal writers.

Accordingly:
