For February Bar Exam Takers

This post is for those taking the February bar exam.
I had to take 3 different state bars over 15 years.
Every time, it was sheer hell. Mixed with panic.

The volume of material was prohibitive.
Unprecedented. Abnormal even.
And oh—so—painfully boring.

And one week out, every time, I felt like there was no earthly way I’d learn, understand, memorize, and know how to apply it all in time, if ever.

But every time, things would just start to come together in the last few days. I’m not sure how, but all the time studying started to show as I practiced.

In fact, the third time, I actually had only about 10 days total to study at all, because I was working full time (meaning 12+ hr. days) at a firm then.

Somehow, again, things came together in the final days.

So please, just stay the course. You can do this, too.

⭐️ What helped me most in the final days was to read as many essay answers as possible. I learned and remembered new legal concepts through the stories in the fact patterns. AND, simultaneously, I saw how those concepts got applied.

I highly recommend that you try it—especially if feeling stuck or overwhelmed with all the rote memorization.

I’m sending you fortitude, extra brain cells, and some extra grace to give yourself during this beyond unbearable time.
