LINKEDIN & PERSONAL BRANDING
When my LinkedIn notifications stopped being reliable, I looked for another way to make sure I kept up with my friends’ and fellow creators’ posts.
First I tried looking up all the names that I could think of off the top of my head, and I checked their profiles. Sure enough, they had posts I’d never seen.
📌 Then I found out that looking at so many profiles in a day might get me banned from LinkedIn! 😲
(I’ve since learned that 30 profile visits can cause a ban.)
My current, better way involves a quick, 1-time setup. So far, it’s never missed a post.
👉 Here’s how to do it:
1: Open your browser version of LinkedIn and put your cursor in the “Search” field. Don’t put in any words; just hit return.
2: Click on “Posts.”
3: Under the dropdown for “From member,” enter up to 28 names.
4: Under the dropdown for “Date Posted,” select ‘Past 24 hrs’ (if you use LI daily), or whatever time period you want.
5: Under the dropdown for “Sort by,” select ‘Latest.’
🎉 Voila! All the posts you want to see on one screen, organized chronologically.
6: Finally, bookmark your search so you can click it each time you want to see new posts from the people whose names you entered.

N.B. If you want to watch a video tutorial, Kevin D. Turner has an excellent one on YouTube—and it’s short! My other (and primary) source for all things LinkedIn & personal branding is the wonderful John Espirian .
I recommend that you follow them both!

P.S. I don’t often write about LinkedIn or my becoming a “content creator,” (by which I mean no more than a person who posts regularly on LinkedIn).
🗳️ Please let me know if the above type of content interests you.
