Dear 1L Spotlight: Michael Aronson

💫 Dear 1L – Spotlight

Today I introduce Michael Aronson, a 2L who started as a small-town, ice-hockey goalie with big-time plans: He’d someday become the star starting goalie for the Florida Panthers.

During long training hours with the team’s goalie coach, Michael ultimately seized a spot on a Junior-level team and was one big step closer to realizing his hockey-star dream.

But we all change as we grow, and four years studying business management at Florida State ultimately led Michael to pivot. Although hockey will always be an important part of his life, it is his intellect that must take center stage.

All that early-morning ice time, though, was absolutely not for naught. It taught Michael that “if [he] put every inch of [his] body, heart, mind, and soul into it,” he could commit to and succeed at “just about anything.”

He made good on that commitment during the pandemic, too.

▫️ His father was a lifelong inventor who had started dozens of new sporting-goods products over the years. Yet all had gone unfinished.

▫️ Michael changed that: He guided and worked with his dad for all that cabined time, including devoting months to independent research—all so that he could teach dad how to build an idea into a prototype.

⭐️ Ultimately, in 2020, Plant the Seedz Enterprises, LLC was born. Michael and his dad are now the proud owners of three brand-new products—all with patent pending applications. What an extraordinary gift a son could give a parent!

▪️ Michael will be a 2024 graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, in Fort Lauderdale.

▪️ He seeks to become a transactional attorney and is eager to learn the fundamentals in all aspects of corporate & business law, with entertainment and IP law as current long-term interests.

▪️ Michaels’ early, grand goals of pro-hockey stardom are now surpassed by different, but equally grand, plans:

After doing “his time” learning the ropes after law school, Michael seeks, some day, to “go out into the world on [his] own and secure clients under the name, Aronson & Associates Law Firm.”
