Dear 1L,

There’s a growing problem in the legal industry:

New lawyers “don’t know how to write.”

▪️ The law firms blame the law schools.

▪️ The law schools blame the colleges.

▪️ The colleges surely blame social media, high school, and everything in between.

As for me, I don’t cast blame. The blame game never accomplished anything.

Instead, I’ve written a book to try to help solve the problem.

The title is, “Dear 1L: Notes to Nurture a New Legal Writer.”

It seeks to bridge the gap between writing in college and law-school writing.

I’ll have much more to say, as well as many people to thank, but I’ll leave things here for today.

I’m aiming to publish this spring.
