Most first-year law students do exam essays the wrong way.
Most first-year law students do exam essays the wrong way.
They:
—read the question;
—try to figure out the answer;
—then write an essay to justify that answer.
That’s the worst thing you can do.
Instead, you should:
—read the question,
—write one side’s best arguments;
—write the other side’s best arguments;
—explain why one side has better arguments.
That’s how lawyers actually do it.
That’s how you stay open to the other side’s view.
This one change can be the difference between an A and a B for you.

I am sending you so much energy and good luck!!

P.S. Save this (see 3 dots in upper right corner). That way, before each exam you can quickly remind yourself. Yes, this is that important.
