1L Tip Today
No answer is “right” when you write during this semester— objective memos and essay exams.
🔹Don’t try to get the “right” answer. Try to be thorough.
🔹Write down every single fact and argument that EACH side could make.
— Do this for every sub-issue.
— Be an equally zealous advocate for each side.
— This means if there is a legal test with 3 parts, you will make at least 6 equally zealous arguments.
🔹The answer counts next to nil. The 6 arguments are 99% of the credit points.
If there were a clear “right” answer, the professor would not have posed the question.
